More private book stores list Probe8

 Alibris.com listing - USA

Tertulia.com listning (USA)

Saxo.com:

Saxo.com is Denmark's largest online bookstore!

Bookscape.com in India:

Fishpond in New Zealand:

Today, I found out that Denmark's largest online retailer for books has listed Probe8!! This is truly a phenomenal achievement!

I also found that we have been listed in New Zealand as well.

There are more online bookstores listing the book in the US and India!

This is amazing! What is even more amazing is that this is all happening on its own. That more and more private book sellers are listing the book is very very nice to see. :)

Probe8 is now listed by private book stores in India, US, and Australia!!

I just realised.. with Dymocks.. my book has been listed by private bookstores (not Amazon, but websites of real bookstores) in India, US, and Australia!!!

And all this without promoting the book one bit!

Even on Amazon, the rank of the book keeps going up and down, which means sales are happening.

I don't see a penny of those sales, but am so glad that the book is being recognised and loved on its own merit.

Of all our labours of love - children are the most dear. Books come a close second.

If you like the book, do give it a nudge - leave a review on Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes and Noble, or our own website.

One more Australia listing for Probe8!

This is a week of surprises!

Probe8 was listed on ebay Australia earlier this week but today, imagine my surprise when I found it on Dymocks - a 140 years old bookstore in Australia!!

For some reason, Google is not letting me upload the screenshot!!

Yay and Yay!!

This now makes the book listed on private bookstore websites in India, Europe, US, and Australia! Yippee!!!!

My first author chat

It was my first author chat in person, and I was *very* nervous.
Will anyone turn up at all?
Will they stay?
Will I have anything interesting to say?

A few close friends came for moral support and God knows I needed every bit of it.

The first two people walked in 5 minutes before the event was due to start. I walked over to say Hello. Met a bright young person in the process.

We started the event.

The questions came from the moderator, and then from the audience.
Then, people started sharing their own experiences.

People turned around to listen.

Somewhere at the back, we ran out of chairs. The club staff very sweetly gave up their own. The room continued to fill.

Some friends, whom I had not met in a long time, made the time to be present. They listened - first out of love, and then, as the conversation got richer and richer, with genuine interest.

We expected the event to last 35-40 minutes. An hour later, we were still talking.

For me, of course, it was an evening to remember and celebrate. But the crowning moment was a conversation with a friend later in the night. As I thanked him for coming, he said, "For one hour, no one looked at their phones. Everyone was talking and listening. Do you realise what you have achieved today?"

Today's post is for the gratitude of last Friday.

Compliment to Probe8

In the last two days, two different readers gave the same feedback - "I like reading your stories because of the language. This language is very polished. It's a pleasure to read."

And I am listed on Barnes and Noble!!

Today, I was wondering what will happen if a book store owner wants to stock Probe8??

What will they find on the internet?

So i did a vanity search on just hte name of the book and Surprise!

I found that the book is listed on Barnes and Noble online store!

How amazing is that!

As a child, Barnes and Noble was aspirational. I never, never once dreamt that I would, one day, be a listed author on Barnes and Noble.

I think, my dad would be very proud.

That moment when a friend gets a Book recommendation email from Amazon, and its's your book!
The Happiness of seeing this screenshot cannot be put in words!

The subject of the email is my book name!
The email has only ONE recommendation - and that's my book. :)

Sylvia's Book Review of Probe8

A first-time author is always looking for genuine feedback.

Getting this from a bibiophile like Sylvia Grace made my day! Sylvia's curated book recommendations are amazing. To be reviewed by her is truly an honour.

Thank you, Sylvia, for taking the time to read them, and for this lovely feedback. I can't stop grinning from ear to ear!

Announcing my first book - Probe8 - Eight modern mysteries of detective fiction

So, on March 27th, my first book, Probe 8, was listed on Notionpress.com

From then to April 17th, we were sorting out one thing at a time.

The book was next listed on Amazon, from where most of my friends bought it.

A book is an entity unto itself. It has its own journey.

The journey of writing the book, I have already shared in the Foreword. This post, and some that come after this, are the journey of the book.

The book was bought, obviously, by friends and family, to do me a favour.

But what happened after that was quite amazing.

The readers actually LIKED the stories.

They came back to say that this was not even their genre, but they just could not put the book down!

Let's start with the reviews from Amazon. All these reviews are honest. Even if written by friends, i requested them to write what they really thought about the book.

This one is by Viky Arya ji:

And these:

And these:

And these:

Sylvia, who recommends books professionally, took my breath away with this completely unanticipated review. She told me that of late, she had not been reading fiction all that much, so this is doubly precious for me:

And from Manisha, who is a reluctant reader on account of time constraints:
