Why are apps more reliable?

 We've gone from "I got someone for that" to "I got an app for that."

Mom is unwell today. I called the doctor. No response. Sent a text. No response.

Need to go from point A to point B. Ask an auto. "Nope." Ask another "Nahi"

Something is leaking again. Call a plumber. No response. Call another "The number you are trying does not exist."

The void isn't humans. Its reliability.

Why is the same auto reliable when called thru an app, and says "Nope" when approached directly?
Why is a plumber from Urbanclap on time and professional and my "person" for n years always throws attitude for simple tasks?
